  • Shimla: Also famous as the capital of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla is the most travelled hill station situated in the Shivalik hills range. Discovered by the British for a perfect escape from the scorching heat of Delhi, Shimla offers breathtaking sights and amazing locales with some majestic buildings as well dating back to the British Raj era.

  • Visit the Christ Church

  • Christ Church is the second oldest church of Northern India and it overlooks the ridge and is one of the landmarks of Shimla. The exquisite beauty comes with the stained glasses fitted on its windows.

  • Visit the Himachal State Museum & Library

  • Located 2.5 kms west of Scandal point, this museum boasts of a great collection of ancient historical sculptures, paintings, coins, photos and other items from all over the state and outside. It also has a library housing many historical books and manuscripts.

  • Visit the Himalayan Aviary or the Himalayan Bird Park

  • It is a natural habitat of numerous species of birds found in Himachal such as Himalayan Monal, Pheasants, Pea-fowls and National Bird of India; the Peacock.

  • Visit the Vice-Regal Lodge & Botanical Garden

  • Also known as 'Rashtrapati Niwas', this 6 storey building is located on the Observatory Hills. Completed during the British Rule in the year 1888; it was the residence of the British Viceroy Lord Dufferin. Now this building has been converted into the Institute of Advanced Studies.

  • Visit Kufri; located just 16 kms from Shimla

  • This hill station is famous for its trekking and hiking trails. It is also known for nature parks and picnic spots. It also has a Potato Research Institute.

  • Visit Narkanda; located just 65 kms from Shimla

  • On the Hindustan Tibet road, Narkanda offers spectacular views of snow ranges and an uphill trek through Deodar woods leading to the Hatu Peak.

  • Visit Tattapani; located just 24 kms from Shimla

  • Situated on the bank of river Sutlej, it is well known destination famous for its hot springs having a rich Sulpher content. The Hindu temples and Shiv-Goofa (Shiva Caves) located at Saraur; located just 4 kilometers from Tattapani are places worth visiting as well.
